New website

AgForce has launched an exciting new website which is a "one stop shop" for primary producers interested in the wide variety of training offered by AgForce Projects.

The user friendly new site incorporates all AgForce Projects services including property computer mapping, GPS, vegetation management, coal seam gas and leasehold workshops and information about the Grazing and Grains BMP and Reef Rescue projects.

AgForce Projects manager Sue Dillon said the site has been designed as an online portal to allow producers to quickly and easily register for upcoming workshops or request a workshop in their town or region.

"This website replaces the old AgForward website and incorporates a range of new services and information," Ms Dillon said.

"The focus of this website is to encourage more producers to keep on top of the issues affecting rural Queensland including legislation, mining and resource development and how to use new technology and farm management practices to secure an environmentally sustainable and profitable industry."

Ms Dillon said the new site continues AgForce Projects' commitment to delivering workshops to the farmers who need it the most.

"We have already delivered more than 140 workshops in Queensland this year alone and we are always looking for new locations or regions that need this training. The site allows users to request a workshop be delivered in their area, which means all Queensland landholders will have access to the range of free services and practical workshops on offer.

Because of the improved functionality of the site, users can now easily find the workshop they are interested in attending and register online rather than filling out written applications.

Until 30 November, all attendees who register for an event or complete an expression of interest form will go into the draw to win great prizes including a Garmin Oregon 550 hand-held GPS unit worth $750 or a 3-day property visit from AgForce's GIS guru worth $3000!

AgForce Projects is an initiative of AgForce, partly funded by the Queensland Government and Australian Government's Caring for our Country initiative.
